Malloy Incorporated of Ann Arbor is donating the cost of printing 200 cookbooks to The Dexter Relay for Life Team. The cookbooks will feature full color covers and contain about 60 to 70 recipes collected from the residents of Dexter. Once finished, the books will be sold for 10 dollars apiece and proceeds donated to the American Cancer Society.

The cookbook project is just one of several fundraising activities undertaken by The Dexter Relay for Life Team (AKA “the tribe”) who also participates in the annual Relay for Life walk-a-thon. The event has grown from a small personal effort in Tacoma, WA to more than 5,000 events taking place in 19 different countries. The Dexter Relay for Life event includes the walk-a-thon and activities such as a scavenger hunt and live music. The group’s annual goal for this year is $71,000 dollars which will be donated to the ACS.
