PREPRESS - INSITE
In 1994, Malloy was one of the first book printers in North America to go computer-to-plate. Since then, we built a sophisticated and efficient digital imaging workflow that provides significant capacity for processing multi-color cover files, and one and two color text files.
In our current workflow, you send us PDF files on either a disk or through our secure InSite portal. Your files are preflighted to check for possible problems. If a problem is detected, we alert you promptly and work with you to quickly resolve the issue in order to keep your job on schedule. However, while we are able to effectively troubleshoot most problems discovered in the files we receive, it can be a costly process in both time and money for you. You are much better served if you send us well built, trouble-free files that we can process quickly and are ready to image. We have a number of fact sheets that can help you prepare your files properly.
Late in 2009 we introduced our InSite workflow and in early 2010, customers began to use the InSite portal (accessed through myMalloy on our website) to preflight and transmit their files to Malloy. The InSite portal replaced the FTP site for accessing and processing proofs as well.
If you need a one-stop shop for all of your prepress work, Malloy can scan photographs, artwork, fine line work and screens, and composite them into your final digital files. Our extensive experience working in a digital imaging environment gives us the ability to efficiently process your files and effectively troubleshoot any problems, provide timely and accurate proofs, and keep your job moving through production.
