Started at Malloy in 2009.
I started out in this business in 1977 and went to work for a local competitor. I had been teaching high school and middle school English in Ohio prior to selling printing, and while there are times that I miss the classroom experience, I have never regretted my career in the print industry. I’ve sold and managed for several companies along the way and have been fortunate to experience the differences in various markets. I spent my early years selling sheet fed production in the short to medium run, one and two-color book business, then made the transition to long run, four-color web printing. From there, I went into catalog and publication print sales, then ended up selling the printing of four-color advertising inserts and commercial pieces for retail companies. Now I am back in the one and two-color book business and very happy to be here at Malloy. My assignment is a bit different, though. My role is to penetrate the catalog market and help develop 11” volume that is becoming harder to find in the book publishing world. Certainly, the challenges are there but Malloy has a leg up on the competition. The length of service of the average employee here is hard to match in this industry. Plus, our equipment and services are ideally suited for those business-to-business companies that use catalogs to sell their manufactured products. It is a very competitive market, but opportunities are everywhere.

Committed to the Environment At Malloy, we are committed to protecting the environment and to the responsible use of our natural resources. We have dual Chain of Custody (CoC) certification with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI). We seek to provide our customers with a selection of text and cover papers derived from sustainable sources that are harvested responsibly. We also are proud to say that we are a Zero Landfill company.
